Do parents need to activate their account before I can send messages?

What parents receive without activating

Parents who have not activated their account receive:

  • A daily summary email that includes all School Feed and Classroom posts sent that day

  • An invitation to activate their account

What requires activation and consent

To receive messages instantly, and to receive additional communication types, parents need to activate their account and provide consent:

  • Real-time notifications

  • Text messages (SMS)

  • Voice messages


Inviting parents to activate

Parents can be invited with one click. They receive an email with a link to activate their account and begin receiving full communication.

Private Messaging

Private messaging to a parent is for those parents who have activated their account, and have not opted out from being messaged.
