As an admin you will set the posting user rights for parents/guardians.
Options
You have four options (with nuances):
Option 1: Allow parents to post to some or all feeds.
Option 2: Allow parents to post to some or all feeds, but set the parent made posts/comments to require admin approval to be visible for the community.
Option 3: Disallow parents to make any posts.
Option 4: Extend the disallow to comments, too, that are automatically closed.
How to Adjust the Posting Rights?
On the School Feed page, go to Feed Mgmt > Posting Rights.
To adjust the permission settings, first choose if parents/guardians in general are allowed to post to the School Feed.
Set "Yes" (with our without approval) or "No" for Parent Posting
Selecting Yes allows parents to post to all or some feeds with or without approval.
Selecting No shuts down parents/guardians ability to post to the School Feed, Classroom Feed(s), Group Feed(s), and to add Photo Galleries and photos to a gallery.
If Yes for Posting is Selected
If you select Yes, you have many options to set posting rights and the approval. You can apply posting rights to certain audience-based channels while restricting posting to certain audiences such as making school-wide posts.
You can select how strictly AI should monitor the posts.
You can set if parent made posts and comments go automatically live, or if they need to be approved first by the school administrator.
We suggest that you get in touch with your School Signals onboarding contact to go over the settings in detail, so that we can set the communication flow for your feeds exactly the way you want them.
