Clearances for parents are added from the Parent Accounts page. Identify the parent, and from the management menu select Clearance.
You are taken to the Clearance detail page where you can enter available data.
Set the Status
First, select the status for the Clearance. Your options reflect on how the Approved statuses are set and used in your school. The drop-down menu might look like this:
Add Notes
You can add a note that is visible to the parent.
Your note might provide more details of the type of volunteering parent can do on the campus.
If the clearance is not approved, your note might detail the reasons and give additional instructions.
Visibility of notes: The parent and School Admins can see all added notes time stamped in the Status History area. You can safely type in the new note to the user interface — any previous notes remain visible in the system.
Click Save Status
After you have set the status and added the notes, please click the blue Save Status button.
Add Documents
Now that the clearance is stored in the system, you can add document attachments to the clearance. You don't need to click the Save Status button again.
Notify the Parent
After double checking that the Clearance page for the parent looks accurate, do notify the parent about their clearance page. Click the Notify Parent button.
Confirm the notification sending by clicking Yes.
The time of the notification being sent is recorded in the Status History section. The Status History displays all the times the parent was notified.
Editing/Updating the Clearance
Use the same Clearance link from the account's management menu. You can change the status, add a new note, or add documents. Be sure to click the Save Status button. Click the Notify Parent button to notify the parent on the made changes.
Using the Any Clearance filter
You can locate clearances by their status. Use the Any Clearance filter on the Parent Accounts page.
