Parents Rights
School Admins can adjust the user rights for the chat. They can:
Turn off chat from parents and use it only for internal staff communication
Turn off the chat from all stakeholders
Allow parents to send chat messages but require a staff member added to the thread
Allow parents to send chat messages without requiring a staff member
To adjust parent settings, go to the Access Rights page.
Group Chats
If chatting is enabled for parents, the system does not place limits on how many members can be added to the group chat.
Automated Parent Chat for Clubs & Programs
Clubs & Programs may have needs to discuss certain logistics among parents only, and not include admins and teachers to the conversations. Therefore, School Signals has created a simple way for parents to exchange messages among all parent members of their child's club or program.
Parent group chat for Clubs and Programs is an optional feature.
