Can I access the chats?
As a School Admin, you can access all chats - even those that are not reported. Therefore, parents are advised to limit chatting to sharing school information only. All users are notified about this at the top of the chat. Schools should additionally communicate the purpose of the communication channel to parents.
How do I access the chats?
Go to Chats.
On desktop, click the View button and select All Chats. On mobile, click All Chats button.
Click the chat thread you want to review.
Click View Chat Content in the area where messages will appear.
What actions can I take?
As a School Admin, you can review chat threads and take action. Depending on the severity of the violation of the school's policies, a school admin can:
delete an individual comment
restrict member from using the chat feature (see below)
How do I remove chat rights from the member?
Go to Parent Accounts.
From the account's management drop-down menu, select Restrictions.
You are taken to the account's Account Restrictions page.
Here you can restrict feed posting rights and chat posting rights. Select Prevent Chat Posts.
Add Effective Until Date, if wanted.
Click Submit.
