How do I give a School Admin access to multiple schools?

Effective on Sept 7, 2026:

As an Account Manager, you can give School Admins access to more than one school.

You can give a School Admin access to all schools in your portfolio or to selected schools.

You can also grant the School Admin rights to act as District Admin which allows the School Admin to create District News posts and district-level online form templates.

Granting School Admin Access

Go to the school's School Admins page and click the Add School Admin button.

Enter the School Admin's email address.

If the email belongs to an existing School Admin in your organization, you will see a message identifying the School Admin and asking whether you would like to grant their user account access to this school.

  • Click Yes to continue.

  • The School Admin's information will be copied into the form fields below.

  • Under Additional Roles, check Grant School District Access if you want the School Admin to create District News posts and/or district-level templates.

  • District News posts can be sent to all schools the School Admin has access to or to selected schools.

  • Click Save to grant access.

Invitation Email

You can invite the School Admin by checking the invitation email checkbox, above the Save button. You can click the checkbox if the School Admin has not activated their account yet.

What is the Difference Between District Admin Account and School Admin Account?

District Admin accounts without School Admin rights are designed for district level leaders to push out communication to schools but not take an active role in the school's everyday communication. District Admins (who are not created within the School Admin account management) are:

  • not listed the the School and Group Directories

  • do not have a school-level profile

  • cannot be messaged by stakeholders in the school

  • cannot be made School Admins or Teachers of the school

District Admins always get access to all schools where as School Admins can be granted also partial access.

FAQ

Can I give a District Admin School Admin rights?

No. A District Admin account cannot be granted School Admin rights. If the user needs both district-level capabilities and active School Admin access, create them as a School Admin first. You can then grant them access to multiple schools by adding them a School Admin account for each school, and checking Grant School District Access.

Can a School Admin have access to only some schools?

Yes. A School Admin can be given access to all schools in your portfolio or only selected schools.

Does granting District Admin rights give the School Admin access to every school?

No. The School Admin can only access the schools they have been granted access to. The District Admin access adds district-level posting and template capabilities across those schools.

How Do I Remove School Admin's Access from the School?

Delete the account if the admin has not had any activity within the school. Please contact Support for us to evaluate other use cases.
