Critical Alert Is Located In the School Feed
School Admins can make critical alerts in School Signals. Go to the school's School Feed and click the Critical Alert button.
A user interface opens for entering the alert.
The default title is Critical Alert. Type your title if you want to change it or add more details.
Next, please type in the content for a text message to all parents with a mobile number associated with their account.
Next, add information to the 'What would you like to share?' field.
You can add images, videos, and documents. The user interface works the same way as when adding a School Feed post.
Please check the checkbox to confirm that you understand the purpose of the Critical Alert.
Click Share. Notifications go out immediately.
How the Message Is Displayed
The app push message includes the title, and the text message. Clicking the message takes user to the alert in the School Feed.
The text message includes the title, text message, and link to the alert in the School Feed.
The email notification and the alert in the School Feed include the title, text message portion, the detailed content, date, time, the name of the admin who made the alert, and link to the alert in the School Feed.
Can Parents leave comments to the Critical Alert?
Parents can leave comments to the Critical Alert unless you turn off commenting after making the post.
