What can students see and do in classrooms they belong to?

Students can see all content posted in the classroom, except for Volunteering, a feature intended for parents only, and specific Online Forms published for parents only.

Students can like posts they are permitted to view.

Commenting the Classroom Feed posts

Student commenting rights of the Classroom News & Updates are controlled by the Customer/School Admin. At this time, each classroom cannot be configured with different posting rights.

By default, the system settings allow commenting on classroom posts. To disallow student comments, go to School Feed > Posting Rights > Student Settings. Even if comments are allowed in general, the person who makes the post can still turn them off for that particular post.

Posting News & Updates to the Classroom Feed

Student posting rights of the Classroom News & Updates are controlled by the Customer/School Admin. At this time, each classroom cannot be configured with different posting rights.

By default, the system settings are configured to disallow student-created posts. To allow students to make posts to their Classroom, go to School Feed > Feed Mgmt > Posting Rights > Student Settings.

Whether the post requires approval by the school admin before being published is controlled on the Posting Rights page. Students and parents follow the same setting.

User Rights for Classroom Photo Galleries

The user rights to classroom photo galleries are controlled with the galleries setting on the Student Settings page. The rights can be set for view only, view + comment, or full access (which allows to add photos to existing galleries and add new galleries.)
