How do I add a link to a Google (or similar) form?

Go to Online Forms > Forms Mgmt > External Form Links

Why This Feature?

Your school may be using a mix of online forms. Some forms might be created with School Signals, while some forms might be created with Google, Microsoft, or some other form creation software. From the parent's point of view, finding ALL online forms in one place, regardless of the "type" of form, is most important.

How to Add External Form Links

In School Signals, you can add links to external online forms, and automatically display them under Online Forms.

Here are the steps.

Go to Online Forms > Forms Mgmt > External Form Links

Click the Add Form Link button.

  • Select the form's intended audience.

  • Add the form's URL. The link will open in a new tab.

  • Type in the form Title.

  • Add Description (such as the purpose or reason for the form).

  • Toggle on the 'Announce Form in School Feed.' Automatic post is made to the School Feed. Email and app push notifications go out.

  • Click 'Share'

Where Do Parents and Teachers See the Form?

(Note: Form links shared for Teachers & Staff only are excluded from the parents' view.)

  • Linked forms are displayed in the Online Forms area, in the same place where the School Signals forms appear. The system does not cluster or display linked forms in any separate section for the parents.

  • The admin's management area for the linked forms resides in a designated located under "External Form Links."

  • The announcement post includes a direct link to the form.

  • The email notification created from the form's announcement post includes direct "View Online" link to the Online Form. Parent does not need to login to School Signals to access the link to the form.
