How do I set the AI Monitor to scan content?

Updated over 2 months ago

What is the AI Monitor?

The School Signals AI Monitor, built with the AWS Bedrock Guardrails, scans the School Feed, Classroom Feeds and other posts content to filter out concerning posts or comments. The AI Monitor examines both the use of language and its context.

What are the AI Monitor setting options?

School Admin can:

  • Set the monitor to Low, Medium, or High, or turn it off entirely.

  • Adjust the settings by posts by parents, replies by parents, posts by teachers, and replies by teachers.

For instance, the School Admin can set the AI Monitor to High for posts by parents and low for posts by teachers.

How do I adjust the AI Monitor Setting?

The AI Monitor is set to Medium strictness by default. To adjust the setting, go to School Feed > Feed Mgmt > Posting Rights.

Where do I see AI-detected Posts?

When AI detects and removes content, the Notification Bell updates School Admins with this information.

The AI-detected and removed content is available to view on School Feed > Feed Mgmt > Reported Posts

If the AI has filtered out content that should be included, go to that post's three dot menu and click Approve. This makes the post visible.

Click Delete to permanently remove the hidden post.
