How do I get the Classroom's QR code?

Updated over a week ago

What is the QR code feature in Classrooms?

A Classroom Admin can access their classroom's QR code to provide a direct link to parents to access the classroom.

  • Admin can download the QR code from their Classroom page.

  • The QR code is a PNG file that can be attached to a feed post or included in print material.

  • The QR code points to the Classroom's Detail page.

  • If the parent accessing the page is not a member, they must click "Apply." Having the QR code does not make them automatically members upon accessing the page.

  • If the teacher accessing the page is not a member, they must click "Join." Having the QR code does not make them automatically members upon accessing the page.

Do I need to use the QR code?

No. The QR code is an optional feature. Parents or teachers who are not members of the classroom can see access points to all classrooms on the Classrooms index page. The QR code is an additional way for the community to find the Classroom. For instance, a teacher may create a poster that includes a QR code, allowing parents to scan it and quickly gain access to the Classroom.

How do I download the QR code?

  • Go to your Classroom page.

  • Click the three-dot menu and select QR Code.

  • Click the blue Export button.

  • The exported file is named as Group_QR.png with additional number characters.

  • The PNG image is provided at 512 px x 512 px at 72 dpi.
